Highly skilled health and social care professional with almost 40 years of practical experience in primary, social care and hospital environments, working as a nurse in various specialities, particularly children’s and adults ICU.

Expertise in consultancy includes mentoring, mock inspection audits and support with quality assurance work. Excellent computer and internet skills and well-versed in the use of authoring software (such as Adobe Captivate) for creating eLearning materials.

Training is a big area of expertise. I have delivered the Skills for Care leadership and management training programmes and also write and deliver training independently. Recent work includes delivering specialist training for a provider, including MUST (Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool), Waterlow Score (pressure ulcer management) and recognising deteriorating patients including basic observations and using NEWS (National Early Warning Score).

Other recent achievements include taking Vida (London) from Requires Improvement overall (3 RI’s) to Good across all KLOEs in eight months in an interim turn-around Registered Manager/Compliance & Training Lead position. I’ve also recently supported Four Seasons Healthcare nationally with developing their Intermediate Care Service, as their interim Learning & Development Manager.
